Hi big jase and billy, thanks for your replys, I got an abs senor fitted earlier and thought problem solved, dove the car down the street and the lights came on again along with the handbrake light, 3 beeps and flashing and then stayed on steady, baffled, any more suggestions wud be much appricated, cheers Michael

Handbrake sounds like the little sensor on the handbrake lever.

Did you do a scan? Might have another one gone?

Thanks billy, it's just odd that wen the new sensor was fitted the handbrake beeping and then staying on started, thought I was sorted, ahh well frig sake the joys of motering, if you dont laugh you,ll cry, had it sold tonite only for this, still very intrested, tho, ive my eye on a real wee cracker, all the extras, leather sat nav etc, hope she goes, i had it on disnosgise and it gave me that fault as you said, sensor, I'll have to get it on a proper vag computer, thanks again and I'll keep you up to date bud, cheers Michael

Just a thought but once you fitted the sensor do you scan the car and wipe the original fault.  I had to do that to mine as i was having similar problems but mine as the ABS module that was faulty.  Bought a second hand ABS pump with module and just swapped over modules, read and wiped the codes and 'touch wood' never had a problem since.

You have checked the fuse, have you? Very common problem, and an almost free fix.  You'll be cross with yourself if you replace the unit, find the replacement doesn't work either and then find it was just the fuse.

I had the same symptoms and it was the abs module. Bought a pump of flebay and just swapped the modules over. Wiped the fault and its never came back on again woop woop.

Just check the part number 1st because theres loads of abs pump options.
