I know Superbs are built in the Czech republic, India, China and elsewhere - how do you decipher were yours was built ?

Should find it on the VIN plate. The codes to decipher the plates are available on the web - http://vindecoder.eu/skoda should work.

 

The VIN (vehicle identification number) plate is located on the bottom left side of windscreen or under the bonnet

... and that was the reason I picked one that was available in the dealer show room ... ... and had it delivered after 4 days! I would never have the patiense to wait 14 week, or 13 more than I had to when buying mine ...

 

Hope you find it worth waiting, bet you will be happy with it once it arrives.

Mine has a plastisized label next to the left headlight (bonnet open) which gives details and "Made in Czech Republic"
