Hand Controlled Elegance Estate 2l DSG

Featured Replies

Hi

My Metal Grey Elegance has finally arrived, ordered January.

As requested after my first post I have attached photos of the hand controls

They are very easy to use, pull to go and push to stop.

You will notice that the design enables the use of the pedals if I can bring myself to allow someone else to drive!

Sports Suspention option was added to reduce body roll making the use of the Steering Ball easier; great on roundabouts!

I hope this is of interest

Welcome to Briskoda.

NIce job - Who did the conversion?

Is the accelerator controlled by right thumb on that button?

Hi again

The hand controls were fitted by Bewick Mobility.

The button on the top is for the indicators.

The rubber grip is connected by a rod and a system of levers to the accelerator and brake pedals.

Pushing the grip towards the pedals operates the brake, pulling towards the driver operates the accelerator, simples!

Hope this makes sense

Brilliant system these. My friend has one in his m3 and range rover. Weird sensation to drive with though. Also tried a system that uses a ring around the entire wheel. Went back after a day as he felt it was dangerous.

On another note welcome to Briskoda.

That's a pretty awesome system, but doesn't having sports suspension make it harder for you to enter/exit the car, since it's lower?

Hi

With the seat set at its highest position it is OK.

Adapt and enjoy!
