Wheel questions - help from the experts please?

Featured Replies

Hi folks

I have a twindoor FL Elegance 170 manual and am thinking about changing the wheels on it.

I have 7.5J, 18'' Trinity wheels at the mo, 5 x 112 with ET46.

The wheels i'm thinking of are 8.0J, 18'', 5 x 112 and ET45.

Will this work without any issue do you know?  ET should be fine as only 1mm but the extra 1/2 ''??

Many thanks in advance

Dave

Should be fine, the size differences is minimal.

Do you think so?  5.3mm closer to the suspension and 7.3mm further out and therfore closer to the arch?  Will this still be ok?  I tow a caravan and often have the car fully laden.  Will there be deffo be no rubbing on arch liners etc do you think?

Thanks, Dave

And (daft question perhaps) but do i need longer wheel bolts?

Thanks

You may need to get the old measuring tape out and do a bit of measuring to see what tolerances you have.
