amundsen+ sat nav

Featured Replies

Hi all

hope you all have good weekend ,could any one help have bought skoda superb se+ 2012 140bhp 2lt has amundsen + satnav fitted ,what i am after should it have come with sd card for the nav or would it have if it was bought new ?.

I can not find out what the map version is as to be able to update it reading the manual it says i think that you have to have sd card in as  to se what is what also to update book says that you have to use that card to update as it has skoda files on to be reconised by satnav.

Car under warranty would i be able to get card from dealer or some other place or if i found out who owned car last could give them a ring to se if it had card or not, any help please . Thanks

logotdi.

My car, purchased new, never came with the SD card. The maps were already loaded (and out of date........but then all my Satnav maps have been out of date... Even those that have been recently updated). Updated maps on an SD card are available to purchase for rather large sums of money!

Perhaps you can persuade your dealer to bring the maps up to the latest.

How can i check what software it is if you dont have sd card .

Thanks

Yesterday I collect my brand new Yeti 1.4 tsi with Amunsen+, acc. to the dealer the Navigation Data is preloaded on the Flash Memory of

the Amundsen+. (so I also did not get a SD navigiaton card for back up)

But while brosing the internet found this link, apparently you can update the latest Amundsen models.

Perhaps you can check with your local dealer, how to further proceed.

Regret to advise that this site is for people who have the Amundsen + in the latest Octavia which is not the same as any of the others...there have been other treads about this which I can't currently find!

This has been discussed at length amundson+ update only by purchasing latest info from Skoda at £200 or so. You can check your own map info on your head unit menue. My Blackline was way out off date same as everybody else,s cheaper to buy a lifetime map Garmin or Tom Tom. The Amundson has no speed camera info or little else for that matter,if it was not free with the car I would not have paid for it. It would make a good boat ancher

Thanks, i thought amundsen + were all the same silly me.

Well if you have to pay 200£ for update will not bother what a rip off will go back to my old satnav.
