MFD in Octy from 2004

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have recently installed a Skoda MFD Dx in my Octavia from 2004 but the MFD drains my battery. I suspect the wire from constant power to the safe pin.

I use an adapter cable bought on ebay.

Have any of you guys experienced the same??

My Skoda dealer told me to get a tmc unit as the mfd would not be able operate 100% correct in relation to the power consumption as there were no connection to the cars can-bus. Is this true? Do I need to buy a tmc tuner to be sure that my MFD isn't draining my battery in the future?

Looking forward to hearing your anwers!!

Regards,
