Hi,

 

I recently vinyl wrapped my radio surround and air vent surround, but I am not happy with result, of the air vents mainly.

 

I am thinking of painting them, but don't want to ruin my trim. So does anybody know the best place and how much I will be looking at for the 3 vent surrounds and the radio surround.

PlastiDip is probably your best bet. Easy to apply, fairly forgiving etc. and peels straight off when you want to remove it. 

 

Around £14-17 a can (inc. postage).

I'm wanting some sort of grey, the vinyl I tried was brushed alluminium and that looks top notch.

You can get plastidip 'glossifier' top coat, if you want to go gloss. Not tried it myself.

How the hell did you find those part numbers hahs. Id prefer oem quality stuff if possible. Even if itll cost me £106 haha.

If i go to a dealer with those part numbers, will they be able to order thrn for me?

Im all for ordering off the internet, but im always abit sketchy about websites abroad haha.

I also wouldnt mind a look at some fitted. Ill do a google search for that

I used my magic to find them.  Yes you can just take the numbers into your dealer. Get them to check the prices first though before ordering (just in case).

 

I've just noticed that I've given you the part numbers for the hard dashboard.  If you've got a padded (soft touch) dashboard then they are:

 

LH Vent - 5J0 819 701L 9B9 - ~£30

Centre Vent - 5J0 820 951H 9B9 -~£40

RH Vent - 5J0 819 702L 9B9 - ~£30

Actually. It might be soft. I had a look earlier and the top bit around the vents certainly feels padded, however lower down, on the bottom glove box, its a lot harder.

Otaylor, you have the soft touch dash, all Fabias have the hard lower panels then any spec from SE and above get the soft touch upper part.
