Any one know when the cam belt should be changed on the 1.6TDi, had a few people say 4 years, some 5 and some 6.

Don't know about the official advice (ask Skoda), but the belt's not under the same strain as the one on the PDs (4 year change) because it doesn't have to work a fuel injector on each cylinder.

Skoda had a blanket 4 year rule (regardless of mileage) for a long time.

 

It was recently increased to 5 years for cars built in 2011 and onwards.

 

The best advice here is to ring Skoda UK (not your dealer - they are often clueless) with your reg / VIN:
