Trying to see if anyone would be interested in a little experiment to make a custom EGR blocking kit from scratch, for the PD diesel engine, but mainly the vRS Fabia. It would be made from the best possible materials, and tried & tested on my car before being put into "production"

No idea on timeframes or cost yet, but it would be VERY cheap indeed and would come with full accurate fitting instructions. Best estimates at the moment would be

I'm also trying to source a nice oil catch tank to re-route the crankcase breather to. I've seen the pics of choked manifolds on 'tinternet, and i'm pretty determined to keep mine clean...

EGR does cause a bit of caking but most of it is down to the engine breather.

EGR is exhaust gas not oil, so you get a bit of soot but it goes direct from the exhaust manifold to the inlet manifold via the EGR valve.
