steering rack bush replacing

Featured Replies

I want to replace the bush on the steering rack with a powerflex, but I'm not sure if I can do it without dropping the subframe.

Someone on the vortex forum said it managed to replace it without droppin the subframe and took him 15min.

So if there is 15% change I can do it.

I've heard it can be done in place. It will be tricky to get the spanners in there though!

Yes,you just need to undo the 3 bolts of the heat shield

Steering rack bush was rumoured to make no difference before I fitted mine!

So I fitted one on my car and noticed no improvement at all!

I put one on purely because all my other bushes were purple hehe

I suspect my bush is worn and the rack rattles a bit.

So,did you get your subframe lowered to replace it?

No you can fit it in situ!

What part no / best supplier ?

Easy job once under the car. Do it in place.

It must be easy as I did my own.
