Jittering Door Mirrors

Featured Replies

Hope someone can help with this.

When driving my 08 Skoda Octavia 1.9 tdi the door mirrors start to jitter when the engine RPM is above 1500. There is no effect on the mirrors when stood still with the RPM above 1500. This is independent of road speed and seems to be totally dependant on engine RPM.

Hope someone can help with this.

Thanks in anticipation.

My drivers mirror vibrates at low RPM and when I have music loudish, passenger side is fine...need to stick it back on at some point!

New mirror glasses are available from ebay at a very reasonable cost.

I picked up some very nice blue-tinted heated one for £20 :)

Why is it that just after ever time I've spent out on the car, (dashcam, MFSW retrofit, TPMS retrofit) there's always something else that takes my fancy???

Thanks for that Alex, it will be on the agenda in the next few weeks no doubt! Links bookmarked.

Do quite well as boot lights ;) ;)

Have still got to the TPMS on the Scout. Still need to locate the ABS unit.

There's always "something else" to do Mike, that's we're all on here ;) ;)

Blue mirror glass mmmmm. You bugger

Ah, already got ultra bright LEDs in the boot, so one up there!

Anyway, STOP IT, it's all costing me money (and SWMBO's not happy about it!)

Thanks for the advice, checked the mirrors this morning, passengers side came away at the bottom very easily, drivers side came away with a little more force. Have glued them back on, so will see how it goes.

Regards.
