  1. I am in the middle of retrofitting an air quality sensor in my Octavia FL and I wonder if you can support me with the wiring diagram. I see that pins 19 and 20 are already occupied. So, do I need to merge or replace wires?

Yes, I do have the FL octavia and the pins 19 & 20 are occupied but pin 4 still unused. The T20 connector is the only one of a kind as the other two plugs have 16 pins only. I will check under wiper bonnet to make sure I don't have one.

      Thank you for your advice!

I have checked under the passenger's wiper bonnet and I didn't see the sensor. I've also unplugged the pins 19 and 20 of the T20 connector and the whole climatronic unit went off. Fuse number 17 was blown while I was trying to release the ground pin 19. Pin 4, on the other hand, is unused. Any suggestions?

I'm sorry it's years since I did this and the car is long gone. All I can suggest is to try and trace the wires. It doesnt sound to me like it's the same unit I had.

  2. Now on ebay: http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-53481-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=2&pub=5575378759&campid=5338273189&customid=&icep_item=183689678314&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229508&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg&toolid=11111
  3. I finally say goodbye to my trusted Octy Mk2 at the end of the month. Now stripped back to standard, the last item I have for sale is the Montblanc S2 rear mounted cycle carrier which is a brilliant way to carry 2 large bikes around. Here is the item on the Montblanc site. https://www.montblancgroup.com/en/gb/products/bike-racks/trunk-bike-racks/rear-trek-s2/691252/ This one is well used but in good condition with all fittings present. The fitting kit is number 3 in this case but others are available separately for under £20. The attached shows which kit you need: http://fulfilment.fps-click.co.uk/applicationguides/MontBlanc_Cycle Carriers_01FEB15.pdf This example contains kit 691263 (kits are listed in last column). 691261, 691262 or 691264 will need to be bought separately if your car needs one of those. Once set up once for your car for the first time you can leave it mostly set up while still folding it quite flat for easier storage. When using it there was very little extra fuel consumed unlike the roof mounted carrier I had before and the bikes are held in an extremely stable fashion. It takes a few minutes to attach but it is by far the best bike carrier I have used. This too big to post so it will need to be collected from Newport NP20 or Pontypridd CF37 please, or I can meet half way if you are reasonably close. Any questions please send a message. Thanks Adam
  4. Yes just a bit of trim removal and swap over the two pin plug. The rear speaker will be behind the trim at the foot of the passenger b pillar.
  5. Sounds plausible. They are quite cheap thankfully. Try item 263052531133 on ebay for example.
  6. A scan is advisable as stated but when I upgraded from an older parking module to a newer one which needed a second speaker I had this issue until I fitted the second speaker. At a guess I would say one of your speakers (one under steering wheel cowl and one at foot of passenger b pillar) is goosed.
  7. I take it from your username you are South-Wales based? I will happily scan car for if you fancy a trip to Newport or Treforest. You can compare your car to my 08 pre fl l&k and try my switch to see if the hardware all works if you like. It does sound like someone has stripped the light switch out - even the Elegance had auto lights I believe.
  8. I like DAB and there are loads more stations. It is an easy swap but you will need a DAB aerial and if getting integrated sat nav, a GPS aerial too. You can go whole hog for a shark fin aerial but then you need run cables to the roof, or use the simple cheap stick on window versions. GPS aerials can be stuck behind the unit itself and are cheap. If you are interested I have an OEM DAB Columbus unit in the parts for sale section, which has sat nav, an SD card slot and hard drive for music and latest maps. If you live anywhere near Newport, South Wales, I will happily help fit and code the unit to your car.
  9. This is the piano black dash fascia for an Octavia Mk2. This one fits around the original Columbus head unit and the facelifted climate panel. The part carries the number 1Z0 858 069, with colour code N77. It is in good condition with only a couple of minor scratches (see second photo) and all lugs intact. The cost is £15 (plus postage if required), or make me a reasonable offer. Any questions please ask. Adam
