Noticed that when i'm booting it and i'm changing gear there seems to be a big delay between the gear changes no matter how fast i change gear.

 

Have heard about the pedal boxes but not sure how they work and if they actually make a difference?

 

Are they easy to fit and are they worth it?

I seem to recall that there's a kit for converting the gear linkages to a 'short throw' type that speeds up the changes.  Try a 'Google'.
