KESSY - error in manual ?

Featured Replies

Is this an error.

Page 35,

The diagram shows 1 as the sensor and 2 as the handle.

Unlocking

Grab the door handle of the front door or cover the sensor 2 » Fig. 14 with the whole palm of your hand » .

Locking

Touch the sensor 1 » Fig. 14 with your fingers.

It also seems much easier to touch the sensor with a thumb...or is that me being picky.

I used the Press to Start and Stop on ours, at the dealership, today and it's nice. No great force required for the wife's arthritis.

I have Kessy on my Yeti - it is brilliant

Just grab the door handle as described but do not touch the indent on the front of the handle at the same time as it confuses the system, the sensor on the rear of the handle will unlock.

Unlocking it does not matter which part of your hand touches the front Indent the car will lock-  I just touch handle & swipe either front or rear of my hand.

Ref the physical keys in our KESSY remotes, what purpose do they serve.

There are no physical locks on the doors, boot lid, no ignition switch and no glove box lock.

It does have a door lock (operated by said key) under the 'fixed' part of the door handle. Flick the cover off using the key in the slot underneath and insert key. Simples. It's found on Page 232 of the Yeti Manual (Emergency Unlocking/Locking).

There are door key locks behind the plastic covering of the handle, page 232 of the manual..
