Is it 100% necessary to remove the combi valve? My pumps rivets have gone and its making a racket, plan was to unplug it and resistor it but for now leave it in place till i get round to removing all the gubbins

Yeah i don't see why not,  you are effectively not connected and using the SAI if unplugged. So free from the noise

So done it today. Left combi in place for now. Not sure what will happen when i start it in the morning but its mapped out. Also removed charcoal cannister, car idles so much better and quieter now :)

Cant get that blasted pump off tho
