Dutch Yeti

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I'm Cees Wildervanck, living in the North of the Netherlands (where the gas comes from and consequently: where the earthquakes are) and having picked up my new Yeti 1.2 TSI yesterday.

It's an Active because I did not like to pay for accessories I was not interested in and will make my own choices, such as a Webasto sunroof, like I had on my former vehicles. And, of course, I've discovered SuperSkoda already as well.

I discovered Briskoda when Googling for information on several subjects. It appeared to be a useful site and a friendly community.

My former vehicles have all been pick-ups, not because I needed them for my work (I'm a psychologist specialized in road user behaviour) but because I always wanted to be a truck driver...

As I will slowly be going to work less, the pick-up had to go for tax reasons, and moreover the last one, a new type Ford Ranger, turned out not to be a very good car, which made 'downgrading' to a normal car easier. I would have liked a VW Golf but that was too expensive, and moreover I would like something a bit special. Well, then the Skoda Yeti was a logic choice, wasn't it? To me, Skodas are technically less expensive VWs, and as far as I'm concerned its history does not go back to Favorits or even their rear engined predecessors but to the early fifty's 1001 and 1102, which were serious cars then!

I'm looking forward to pleasant and useful contacts on Briskoda!

Welcome to the forum! and enjoy your Yeti.

You'll find that we're a friendly bunch here Cees.
