Rear Speakers In A Fabia Estate

Featured Replies

Hello everyone.

Anyone changing the rear speakers on a Fabia estate, here's a word of warning.

The side trim the speaker screws on to is held in place with four clips and two visible screws. To get to the THIRD screw you need to remove the small courtesy light fitted to the side of the top trim, this saves minutes of head scratching and bad language!!. Unfortunately the speaker size means that you can't get a huge increase in quality if you want to stay in standard trim, but the separate tweeter (crap) can be easily disconnected at the main speaker site, also crap and only fit to be binned, and a pair of 2 way 6"x4" will fill the spot nicely.

On a similar thread, anyone found that a change of head unit requires an aerial attenuater fitted to get medium and long wave back ??

Happy fitting
