Under Seat Subwoofer

Featured Replies

Good Afternoon all,

I'm sure I've searched this before and come back with results.. But I can't find anything today.

I have a Fabia Mk1 and want to install a under seat subwoofer under the drivers seat. But I have worries about a) will an active underseat sub fit or is it too big? and B) I notice that there is a blower under the seat for passenger's feet in the back. Would the blower overheat the active sub even if it does fit?

So... if it doesn't fit, could I put one on the floor with a box/carpet round it to protect it from said blower... would this work? no-one ever sits behind me, I'm 6ft 4 and chair is always fully back... or would it still overheat.

If all else fails I suppose I will just lose my boot space to a boxed sub.

P.S I have read the reviews about under seat subwoofers, which are mixed, but I think it could have enough bass for my needs.

Thanks

Jim
