Hi guys

I was on the way home and suddenly on a roundabout my car started to shake engine light started to flash and then stayed on permanently. Car lost the power and its kinda grinding on the nearside front. I slowly driven it home jacked up nothing there started emgine again and its really shaking I cam feel the vibrations in the cabin...what could it be?

Can you scan it with VCDS ? Mother-in-laws Golf had 2 coil packs go and the shaking the engine was doing was unbelievable.

Dont have vcds ill try to book the car in to get it checked out is the crank bearing expensive to fix?

That's better than a bearing. Did you get the spark plugs done too?

i didnt actually , mechanic checked it changed coils and said there is nothing else that needs to be changed so i left it as is and works same as before
