A treat for the pick up :)

Featured Replies

Got this chunky beauty today from a good friend. 600w rms mono sub to power my two 12" Pioneer subs (which ive still to get but will do at the end of the month) for the slimline sub box that will replace the rear seat bench in the pick up. Hmmm pull out subs, now theres fancy.

Nice amp that mate

Pull out subs eh, whatever next!

Keep up the good work!

Nice amp! What subs will you buy? 306(DV)C or something else?

Those are my choice, mainly because of the mounting depth as I need to keep the box quite shallow. A friend has one of them in his Astra and it sounds really good so two in the back of the pick up should be sweet. Remember they aint in the boot, they are cabin mounted right behind the seats.

Nice slim subs. May as well have a blatant piccie of my new amp in this "ICE" fest. :D

Hey you get your own thread!

;)

:D I think there IS another one somewhere. :o Its an untried and tested amp though. But I just looked it up - MD-23 - 500w RMS at 2ohms... per channel, so I think thats 1000w RMS over all.

Anyway - back to your ICE ;) I've always liked Alpine. Do you also have an Alpine HU? Always nice to keep the same brand throughout I say, but mine will be a mix of Pioneer (HU) USamps (amp #1) JL (subs) Kenwood (amp #2) and Infinity (comps) :o

the alpine subs are very good lummox, wanna hear mine. suppose it would have made sense for you to hear them the 2 or 3 times we have met

can pop over if ya like tomorrow maybe and sort them sockets out at the same time if you want mate :)

Alpine dont make a sub that is less than 10cm deep, so cant use em, or i would.

Im at the Tuner GP @ Donnington tomorrow sadly.

bugger, we'll sort it out for a weekend in the near future mate :)

Snap same amp.

600w RMS @ 2 ohms iirc :)

Can't wait to see the finished truck..600W @ 2ohms..not bad :) That would mean if your subs are matching power you would in effect be running about 150W @ 8 ohms, which is not a bad rating for a car, yet alone a pick-up!

Subs are both 300w RMS. I have the test certificate with the amp proving its actually putting out more than spec and according to sources the 12" Pioneers love it up them and can handle the spec and then some :)
