catch tank/can on a vrs

Featured Replies

Hello, I am wanting to put a catch tank/can on my VRS. The car DOES NOT have a issue with oil. It's for better breathing on the car as I've been looking and there is two breathers that go into the intake which is doing the car no good. You want as much as clean cold air going in, not warm dirty air.

I just wondered if anybody as done this to there VRS?

I've done a search but not that many saying anything about it.

Info on mounting the tank or the best way to plumb it in

Cheers Ant

Iv wanted to do this too. But iv been put of by the thought that the intake vacuum won't be their to draw the oil out the breather....is there a decent baffled catch can out there as this could be plumbed back into the intake which would still give the surely needed suck?

I am not bothered about plumbing it back in. I want it to breathe out to a tank then a little filter on top. It'll be fine like that with pressure from the engine.

Ain't anybody done this to the vrs?

It looks like you are the pioneer among the Briskodians.

Let us know how you get on.

Oil separation path is vary convoluted and I believe it does need a good vac to make it work. You do seem to be a pioneer among us:) Check Seat and VW Forums as well.

I've had a brain wave. What about if I tap in to the exhaust to vac it out?
