Ipod in my Octy!

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

As the title says...I want my iPod in my Octavia- I have tried tape adapters, FM transmitters and wasnt fussed on any of them. Basically id like a wired connection, i have read all about whats about the market but heres what I got:

The standard factory head unit

No aux line in (bar the cd changer)

Now id ideally like to keep the CD changer...Why you ask? Just cos when people jump in my car with a CD I like to put it on, and not be restricted to iPod.

Has anyone found a way of hooking up their ipod without changing the head unit? Or can anyone suggest my best way forward?!

Open to ideas, so throw them at me!

Provided you are not worried about operating your ipod via the HU then there is a kit available which will allow you switch between a set of aux phonos and your changer. It just connects to the changer socket on your head unit. Should work for Symphony or Stream head units. Can't remember off hand but i'll have a look around the forum and get back to you. I'm sure it's been discussed before.

Dension ICE Link i have in my car... search for "Skoda MFD Sat-Nav" thread by me... info in there.
