daytime running lights not working properly

Featured Replies

Hi all,my vrs has drl to on when engine is on but today I noticed they're not on on start up only when I turn the lights on.(I had my heated seats on a recall last week and have not driven the car since, is it something the dealer has done or is it something I can adjust back in settings without going back to dealer.any help thanks.

Does you car have the on / off switch for them in beside the fuses.?   Try switching it to 'on'.

You need to remove the Fuse Cover panel.

When you turn on the lights, that is them as Sidelights, not DRL's.

Should I contact skoda uk first.

Dealers have a nasty habbit of turnig them off.

Just remove your fuse panel under the steering collumn.

There should be a switch in the middle, flick it back on and test the drl's by turning on the ignition.

The Technician will likely have switched them off,

so as they were not on when they were working with the ignition on.

(or out roadtesting, and looking like a Boy Racer with Fog/ Spot lights on!!)

So switch them back on,  or try to.

DRL's as standard, are only to the Front.

Day Time / Day light running lights.

They are brighter than when the sidelights are on.

Which is why i would never use the DRL's.

I put on the Sidelights to have front and rear,

or

Dipped Beam, & then the sidelights are on.
