What sort of cleaning products are available to clean all the mud and grime from the inside of thr wheel arches so I can bring back the paint colour?

i usually use MC2 or (virisol...sp) on my plactic arch liners etc and hose off, works a treat getting the grime off

What about Muck Off, bikers will know the name. Spray on wash off, safe on all surfaces.

I get SO much crud, its just as easy to use a bucket of warm water and many dunks into the bucket to clean the rag. Eventually I hope to get an outside tap here so I can use a tap and a pressure attachment on the end. Gets the worst off, then I can clean up with MC2 or just warm sudsied water again.

i just use a high pressure hose a little brush and then some back to black works great

Try your local motorcycle shop, off roaders use it to great effect.

As with any product like this you'll have to work it in with a brush on heavy soil.
