Hello,

Thinking of upgrading my faultless Skoda Fabia vRS '04 PD diesel for a Skoda Octavia vRS diesel Estate.

My question is, does anyone know the engine codes for the Octavia that will help me identify whether the engine in the Octavia is either a PD or a CR (Common Rail)?

I invite any related comments about pro's and con's of any engine too.

BMN code for PD170

Pd's use the same 3 letter codes that VAG have used for a long time, CR's are 4 digits starting with C currently. Mines CEGA, the Mk3 VRS is CUPA so at least for the moment it seems fairly straight forward to identify the CR's out of the bunch

2022 Skoda Octavia 1.5tsi estate. Following a battery issue, I now have 10 CAN Network Gateway faults, all related to low voltage. The battery has been replaced with a new one but I need to register the new one with the car. I have a Carista EVO reader but it won’t reset the fault codes. Reads them fine but won’t reset them. (I’ve subscribed for a month so that part is fine.) I checked the battery voltage and it was 14.1v so I took the car for a 30 minute drive to see if the car’s computer/sens

Hello, Has anyone fitted the OEM or aftermarket fog lights to their Kamiq? Has Skoda been generous enough to put the wiring loom into the car already in a SEL 2020 model? Also, can the black bumper trim just be cut to shape to accept a fog light or does that have to be replaced??

Another day, another reverse camera and I’m very proud to say that I can confirm the reverse camera can be fitted to the 2020 model year Facelift Superb. The camera fitting on these is a bit different with the new rear plinth but that actually makes it easier to fit. I am super pleased I could confirm this works on the FL Superb. Additionally, as this car is an SE-L with the A5 camera as standard for Dynamic Light Assist, I was able to code Lane Assist for the owner, a £535 option fr

One is the reversable boot floor, carpet one side and a sort of plastic the other. Both items are in great condition too Second is a rear sun screen, it's a mesh material in a metal frame that you clip inside the hatch window, it keeps out a ton of heat and you can take it out for winter, you can't see into the car also. My 280 had tinted side windows but the rear glass was not done. Both are huge and would be prohibitively awkward to post. If you want either you WILL need to come to Swindon.
