Fairly new to the skoda scene and already quite annoyed.

 

I have an airbag warning light on my Mk2 VRS just wondering if VCDS Lite can be connected to a mk2 to check the fault? I've purchased a cheap cable on ebay but can't seem to get it to connect properly I keep getting "No Response from controller". I have tested and have a connection.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated, if it can't be done with the light version is anyone available to have a quick look for me with the full version? Of course I'd be happy to send a few beer tokens your way.

VCDS Lite won't work with the airbag controller, you need a CAN compatible cable.  Two common items check any wiring to the side airbags and check the wiring at the A post to the crash sensor in the door for any breaks, airbag wiring connectors are yellow.

Silly question maybe but check them in what sense?

i disconnected the battery on mine and this error lamp came up had to get vcds to remove it.
