Fabia II airbox thread stripped out solution here ! With photos

Quality of my Fabia airbox threads is not so bad but it's still just plastic so when you use too much force (like me) it's gonna stripp.

I have just one thread stripped but I fixed all 4 of them to avoid problems in future.

You will need screw like this one :

It is originaly used for connecting furniture pieces.

 

Now cut the screw head like this:

Drill the 6mm hole all the way out thru airbox old plastic thread:

Cut the excess plastic like on this photo using scalpel:

Little notch prevent the screw from spinning.You can see on this photo how it works:

Screw goes tight in the hole and it shall not spin or fall out.

This is how it looks in the end:

This solution is far better than cheap factory solution.
