Featured Replies

Hi all

My front grill of my mk1 octy is looking fairly worse for wear these days .. caab9c1dbf22c2c11fac0f63a9d96ad9.jpg

I don't like the fact that the skoda badge seems to be always looking deteriorated on the mk1

Has anyone any suggestions [emoji3]

Replacing badge is easy enough, get grill off, vety hot soak in the bath, drill out the 2 plastic pegs back of grill and gently prise and lift off. Some people use fishing wire behind badge but after a soak and little persuasion it should peel off basically. Put some card under screwdriver blade when you prise it. I think for the front badge has to be slightly curved. I didn't know this, mine isn't and to be honest you can't tell, just got a very thin gap on the bottom edge. I'd recommend wrapping whatever colour you choose, if you want to change or decide you don't like it its an easy change.

I did this. [emoji676]️

Covered the original badge with carbon film.

Thanks guys for your replies

I have taken out the badge and filled it in and painted it body colour but I'd love to get the original grill that hasn't been damaged but these are hard to come by without going to a dealer and paying an arm and a leg [emoji20]
