Last week during a conversation in our garage, i was told about the EGR valve and how it can have an impact on the performance of the car if it is clean. I just want to know is it possible for the EGR valve to be removed and cleaned like the air filter? If yes, can anyone help me with the location of the EGR valve?

 

My superb is the 2.5L V6 Diesel version.

Take the beauty cover off the engine. The valve is in the centre v. Has a vacuum line running to it and a rusty pipe from the turbine.

I had a look a while ago and I don't think it is straightforward to remove it. Very inaccessible Hex screws. I think you may need to remove the oil filter and cooler assembly. I'm sure if you google on an audi forum you can find a DIY guide.
