Rattle... rattle... Rattle...

Featured Replies

Since I bought my vRS I've been living with a couple of really annoying rattles from in the interior. Finally convinced the wife to sit in various places while I drove around (bribing with tea was involved) and we've pinpointed it all to two locations.

1. Door lock pin on drivers rear door.

2. Handbrake button.

Has anyone dealt with similar rattles before and/or any advice for for to deal?

Get some child's window blinds, the noise from those drowns out everything else. Sorry mate, jokes aside I don't really have anything useful to say.

Spray grease (carefully) around the handbrake button just takes the edge off it not had the door lock issue though

I found that just a drip of light oil down past the button was enough to silence it completely. Well done on finding it so quick; my wife thought it was the glove box catch and I only found it when I touched the button by accident!

Turn the stereo up :x
