Airbag light - again!

Featured Replies

I have the common problem of the airbag warning light coming on. The diagnostic said that there is a fault on both front seats so I have had the wiring hard wired to avoid the connectors which usually cause the problem. The diagnostic cleared for the passenger seat but not the driver's seat so the light is still on. Does anyone have any suggestions? I gather that if it is actually a real airbag fault, the whole seat has to be replaced, which I guess is mega expensive. But apparently this is very rare, whereas the wiring problem is not. I'm told that I can't just leave this unfixed because it is an MoT failure.

Thanks in advance

Hi there,

Yes it is sorted. It just took two attempts to hard wire the connectors under the driver's seat. That's the sure fire solution. By the way, I see you are in Reading. I used to live down there and there is a very good independent Skoda man in Sonning Common. Sean Smith at VAG Tech on 01491 629926/07763749993.

Good luck

Michael
