Rattle/knocking from cold.

I've got a 1.6fsi manual elegancej pre F/L. When pulling away and changing gear from cold I get a metallic rattle/knocking noise which seems to clear once warm.

Noise only seems to appear when changing gear and pulling away. From my understanding the 1.6 wasn't fitted with a DMF so can't be that rattling. But seems as though it's coming from gearbox/clutch or N/S/F area. All suspension components seem fine and cannot recreate noise when stationary.

Any ideas?

Skoda have looked at it and stated "no abnormal noises heard". Whatever the hell that means.

Anyone else suffer similar?

As a guide it sounds very similar to the noise made when an engine mount knocks although these appear to be ok, but just a reference to the type of noise.
