MDI & iPhone Podcast problems

Featured Replies

A little background:

I have transferred the Columbus and MDI from my 2007 Octavia to my 2010 Yeti and, with the exception of the pass through loom, am using the same hardware.

I updated my iPhone from iOS7.something to iOS8 at about the same time - this meant the Podcast app went from integrated into iTunes to being a separate app.

I have VCDS and have coded it into the car.

Now I'm using podcasts again, I find quite a few don't work correctly. When selected, they do not start, start with the first track on the iPhone (music not podcast) or do not display the correct track listing (usually bank or the last piece of music).

In order to get it working correctly, I have to select the track several times or flick between media options and other sources.

Anyone else having the same issues?

It is a 'C' suffix on the MDI controller and no firmware updates for it are possible. Would a newer 'G' suffix controller be any good?
