Octavia 2010 VRS Recent Cruise Control Problem

I am new to this game but I am looking for some help?

I am clutching at straws here but noticed in an earlier post, ie, 4 years ago a similar problem that is now occurring with my car.

I have Cruise Control on my Octavia and have a problem where it works until you use the right indicator.

To reset the system the car has to be switched off and the Cruise then works until you turn right.

A number of strands seems to lead to the complete stalk being replaced OR the switch cleaned.

I have cleaned the switch a couple of times but it has not changed any of the symptoms which would suggest there is fault somewhere else.
