Hi all,

 

I have an intermittent fault with my superb 1.9tdi. Sometimes when I attempt to start it I get nothing. I put the key in the ignition, turn it once get all lights on the dash radio etc. Then I turn it again to start and I will get one click? sometimes it can take a retry once but this morning took me about 15 turns before it went.

Seems really bizarre? The battery is brand new so I know that's ok, there are no faults on VCDS.

 

Any thoughts?

Starter relay me thinks or poor earth or even ignition switch that has a poor contact to the relay.

 

OR something else that people with more brains and knowledge than me will think of.

Earth seems ok. Where is the starter relay located?
