MK1 Octavia VRS

 

All works as it should technically, but the sound quality is exceptionally poor. It sounds like most of the sound is coming from the rear. Tried changing the speakers to Front Left only, Front right only etc, there is sound coming from them all but you have to strain to hear!

 

Any suggestions to test if they are ok or is an upgrade the solution?

Standard or aftermarket headunit?

Completely standard with 6 cd changer as norm in boot. I know aftermarket will give better quality anyway, I would have just expected standard to at least be reasonable

I take it you have the fader adjusted to either centre or front?
