How to de badge the rear of mk2 fabia

Featured Replies

Hi there im thinking of de badging the rear boot door has anyone done it. Also i would like to know how you did it cheers :)

ash (swmbo) did her old fabia... I'm wanting to do mine too (just leave the vRS on) apparently all you need is a hairdryer, and some patience!

and a proper clean wax seal after to even it all up!

i used a kettle of hot water over the badge, left it a moment and pulled it off from the corner.

Hairdryer, dental floss, t cut, polish...in that order ;)

Nice ill do it sunday does it damage paint once taken off ?

Hair dryer and credit card, then tar remover to get rid of glue

I wouldn't use hot water at all as does more harm than good

I wouldn't advise boiling water.

Its a 10minute job. This applies to the lettering only, not the badge. The badge, I believe is in a recess.

Use hairdryer/heat gun on low to heat the lettering and soften the adhesive.

Slide dental floss/fishing wire behind letters and draw down

Tar remover or similar to remove excess adhesive

Polish to finish.

Boiling water the easiest way.no damage or scratches to the paint
