RNS310 able to stream music through Bluetooth

Featured Replies

Hi. I'm looking at buying an rns310 on eBay. I could end up getting it at a good price but being able to stream music over Bluetooth is an absolute must. I have done a bit of research on the forum and I believe the 310 doesn't have internal Bluetooth module?

I have a Fabia vrs mk2 and currently have swing radio with Bluetooth. I have voice activation ability and can stream music (also control on steering wheel) Am I right in thinking my car has separate Bluetooth module under the seat if I am able to do these things?

I've spent hours researching rns310 and 315. Not sure if I would be better off waiting for a 315 over the 310?

The 310 I'm looking at doesn't come with code so would have to pay around a tenna for a code off eBay. The guy said he has a gps atenna but I would need to buy a Fakra to sma converter? Sorry for the long post guys. Appreciate your help

Todd

To find out if the unit has Bluetooth you need to look at the sticker on the side that says MAC code/address. It *MUST NOT* be 00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00. Anything else and it should have Bluetooth. If it has Bluetooth, it will stream. Bluetooth is an option, so somtimes it's there, sometimes it's not when buying "pre-loved".

GPS, just buy one with the blue FAKRA on the end.

Better off looking for a RS315 as it's a slightly later model.

Both models are BAP only, so if your car is DDP (and I'm not knowledgable enough on Furbys to say) then steering-wheel controls, MaxiDot, PDC display, heating control display are all out the window.

Ah thanks mate. Very helpful. I decided against the 310. Like you say, I think it's worth spending a little more and getting the 315! They're going for around 250-300 on eBay.

I'm watching a couple of rns510 at the moment so this is an option maybe. I've seen people talking about the 510 being either ssd or hdd. Don't really know what the difference is? :-0
