1969 Skoda 1100mb in near perfect condition

Featured Replies

Hi all,

after some deliberation, I have decided to put my 1969 Skoda 1100mb in De Luxe trim for sale. £6000.

Good points - near perfect condition

Technically sound

No rust - none at all!  The rust was not extensive before restoration

Fully professionally restored a few years ago (aprox. 3 years ago)

All original parts (as far as I can tell)

No shaking, clunking, etc.

Dynamo replaced with alternator for more reliability

Original interior

Original engine

Original gearbox

Original trim

Professionally resprayed and paintwork is very smooth without drips.

Approximately 50,000km since new (speedo shows around 8,500km after rebuild though it hasn't done that since rebuild)

Bad points - as with all 40+ year old cars they have some minor bad points

There is a tiny (1x1cm) ding on the rear wing from a trolley at a carpark

Driver's seat has a tiny mark/scuff (3x3cm) but I'm not sure how this happened as it was there when I bought it

Some of the resprayed white has yellowed very slightly.  This is nearly invisible in daylight and only seen under artificial light in the garage.

Chrome bumpers have not been re-chromed and are original.  The rear one has some minor bubbling.

Paperwork

Fully roadworthy and currently registered in Slovakia (former Czechoslovakia where they were made) and since it is in the EU there should be no problem re-registering anywhere in EU.

MOT present

TAX exempt in UK (I think)

I am the registered keeper, I'm not selling on behalf of anyone else.

Price

£6000 for car

Price does not include registration fees in UK

Price does not include transport to UK - I can organise delivery within 150 miles radius of London for £500 using my brother's car trailer.

Viewing

If you would like to view the car prior to purchase, you are more than welcome.  Since it is in Slovakia you'd need to fly.  I will deduct £200 from the selling price for anyone who would like to view the car.  If you decide not to buy I will not refund travel costs as I have been 100% honest with the description of the condition.  Nearest airport is Bratislava (Ryanair from Luton, Stansted, Edinburgh) and I can collect you from the airport free of charge.  Car is located in the city Trnava, which is 50km from airport.

Alternatively I can email detailed photos on request.
