new exhaust system: piper, miltek or jetex

Featured Replies

hi guys

looking at changing whole exhaust system but want a cat back system not massively loud though just a nice noise for my skoda fabia vrs 1.9td mk1 one any ideas welcome

Mufflerectomy and save some cash.

Basically remove silencer and replace with pipe and tip of your choice.

I had the miltek and the twin exhaust left a lot of soot over by boot and bumper I since changed to a blueflame cat back (oval backbox) which looks better imo and less soot over my boot

Had a piper with zero silencer and was loud.

Miltek with one silencer is quieter.

Apart from pointing out the obvious, the Miltek is better for daily driving and still sounds nice when you floor it.

I have a miltek and I love it. Normal driving its just a tad louder than normal, floor it and oh my!!! Lol

I got 1 silencer (backbox) and its not to loud passed track da no problems sounds awesome on boost

Milltek here and I love it.

Looks great and sounds amazing when you floor it.

ive had both they sound around the same but imo oval looks better than twin pipe

No chance mate. Twin exit looks miles better. If you like the oval look you might as well stay standard. Standard exhaust is good for 200bhp.

Old pic, but you get the idea.

Milltek but with Black tailpipes?

can't see the soot on them then its an option

Piper

Piper

cant rev mine like that got launch control that's no silencers yeh?

First half is 1 silencer, second half is 0 silencer

Milltek is the better exhaust

But costs more money, depends what you want

Personally i loved my milltek

had them all and settled for piper on my vxr and 3" reduced to 2 1/2" blue flame catback on ferby I love the sound of it she roars

They've had some questionable quality issues recently, but they are a nice subtle exhaust

I found the milltek left a lot of soot on my boot lid due to the design of the tail pipes blueflame not half as bad but now running 2.5bar of boost even that been modified

We get it Steve. You prefer your Blueflame.

everyones different but not many people have had both just advise

Well the milltek is still betterer.

I think you'll both find a scaffold tube is superior to any aftermarket exhaust.

thanks for all suggestions and advice so you would suggest piper over miltek thats the way I'm going at the moment in split decision over k2 which is the oval which looks reasonably standard which i like and s2 which is the twin pipes which i also like thats the one decision holding me back
