Road noise dramatically reduced

Featured Replies

Did have OEM suspension at 133,000 miles. Now have Bilstein B12's with SKF top mounts and I'm amazed at how much less road noise I'm getting into the cabin.

Car handles better too!

Well done, the noise certainly needs taming.

I took Mike Holroyd's advice and pumped all my bog standard 15" tyres up to 34psi.  Made an appreciable improvement to noise, & a noticeable improvement to the handling too.

I didn't notice any difference save for a firmer ride with more tyre pressure, but then I have 18" wheels anyway.

The B12's are impressive, car feels far more sophisticated in terms of its handlnig now and ride isn't ruined at all. In fact I'd say small bumps are handled better, bigger worse but that's the way round I'd want.
