Armrest

Featured Replies

Hi.

Anyone know how much it might cost to get a armrest fitted as I brought one off eBay and its very loose......

Is it a genuine one or aftermarket?

I don't think it's a vag one. It screw's into the rear bottle holder and compartment just in front of it....

But it does look as good as one...

So do you want a new one fitted or this one refitted?

Well I refitted it with longer screw's on the rear part of it which made it better but there's still some movement there that's a bit annoying...

Hi

I bought one off eBay that screws into the rear cup holder. But I was not very pleased with it, it's not as sturdy as the oringal one that fitted to my wife's roomster!

I ended up, after 9 months removing it and throwing it in the bin. I bought the roomster one from Skoda parts. It was about 3 times the cost and a bit harder to fit. I am now very pleased with the result. Plus the top has now been trimmed in leather to match my seat retrim.

In the end you get what you pay for.

Retrofit will always wobble, if not from the base at the fixings it will be in the middle of the static supporting arm. I have one in my monte and with the benefit of hindsight i should have gone OEM. The wobble only gets worse I'm afraid.

Fair enough I'll get beadles to fit a new one when I get time.

Thanks guys.

As the saying goes, you buy cheap you buy twice

I bought and fitted the oem one in my vrs. Took about 30 mins to do was super easy. Hardest part was getting the plastic cover to clip in around the base lol. Well worth the cash. Mines solid as a rock. Just don't put any change in it and tilt it back as it can get into the hinge and stop it from opening lol
