Scrap that I've decided it's not worth the hassle :/)

You change your mind about selling the Scout more than I change my underwear!

If you could hang on to it for a bit longer I would seriously consider sparing you the bother of the classifieds. Just need to get a bit of use from the 58 plate Scout I bought earlier this year.

Yeah I know Silver lol ! Going to order a Superb 280 estate next week so it can go in as trade. They will give me 7k for it. Stil find it a hard pill to swallow as it looks brand new !

That's cars though ...

I'm sure 280 horses under the bonnet will make up for it ;-)

I think I mentioned this in your last thread, but the issue isn't whether you are planning to sell it or not (sounds like the new car is a done deal!), more whether you want the hassle of selling privately and if you can get enough over the £7K trade-in value to justify the effort?

My recommendation would be that you have nothing to lose by listing it here on Briskoda or eBay. The hardest part is taking the pictures - lots of pictures.

The MkII Scout remains a rare car and is still highly desirable. Yours is a good spec and sounds as though it is in excellent condition.

Some would argue that petrol is less desirable, which on a newer car may well be true, but people are wising up to DPF's and the high mileages needed to offset the higher purchase price for a diesel engined version so the 1.8 petrol engine is now more attractive than ever, and as you know, in the Scout as rare as it gets.

For the sake of a few hours on the computer and dealing with a few tyre kickers my motivation would be the extra £1,000 in my pocket and not the dealers!

Well that's done :-) Worth a go for a few days but I'll be making a deal on Sunday so prospective buyers better get their skates on :-D
