Key Fob Settings

Featured Replies

Hi all, so got my Octavia Mk2 2.0 TFSI yesterday, trying to figure out the Fob, I've got that holding in leta windows up or down.

It's the locking options I'm struggling with, so double click locks it and causes one beep, and 4 clicks locks it and causes 2beeps? What's the difference between?

Any help would be great cheers

Locking/unlocking

Unlocking the vehicle Locking the vehicle Deactivating the safe securing system
  • Press the button 3 Fig. 13 twice within 2 seconds. Further information link.
Unlocking the boot lid Folding out the key bit Folding in the key bit
  • Press the button 4 Fig. 13 and fold in the key bit.
Unlocking

The turn signal lights flash twice as confirmation that the vehicle has been unlocked. If the vehicle is unlocked using button 1 Fig. 13 and none of the doors or the boot lid are opened within the next 30 seconds, the vehicle is automatically locked again and the safe securing system or anti-theft alarm system is reactivated. This function is intended to prevent the car being unlocked unintentionally.

In addition, when the car is unlocked, the electrically adjustable seats and exterior mirrors move into the position assigned to this key. The stored setting of driver seat and exterior mirrors is retrieved.

Locking

The turn signal lights flash once to confirm that the vehicle has been correctly locked.

If the doors or the boot lid remain open after the vehicle has been locked, the turn signal lights do not flash until they have been closed.

Press the lock button once to deadlock the doors, or press lock button twice to just lock doors with no deadlock and de activates the internal sensors of the alarm if fitted. Second option handy if you are leaving someone or a dog in the car. There is no need to push the button four times.

Well when I do it twice there is one beep and when I do it twice again straight after there are 2 beeps?

One beep should be the audible warning that the car is locked, two means it is unlocked.

I still can't understand why you are pushing the button four times.

Push lock once, that's it, walk away.

On return to car push button once job done.
