Hi,

 

I have just driven to work and everything was fine. Car driving fine etc.....I then turned into where I work and could hear a strange noise as if something was scraping along the ground.

 

I can't see anything hanging but did notice the noise is only going forward as when I put the car into reverse, the noise went.

 

Any ideas?

On the 3 occasions this has happened to me, there's been a small stone caught in the brake caliper and rubbing on the edge of the disk.

 

Takes less than half an hours to pop the wheel and caliper off to remove the stone. If you got someone helpful with you, get them to listen near the wheels to see which it might be.

Thanks Polar, I did wonder if it could be a stone but the noise was horrendous.

 

Might be a job at lunch time me thinks.
