Hi all. Just picked up my VRS 2005 Octavia and have ordered a fascia to put my old single din stereo in place of the Mfd2 unit as i want my old stereo (it has hands-free, iPod, usb etc). I have tried looking for a guide on how to remove the old stereo but can't find one which the link works. If anyone can offer some guidance or a walkthrough for removal that would be great. Thanks. Pop open the ash tray under the head unit then use your fingers and gently pull up and away from the dash the radio surround it could come away with a few tugs

Then there's 4 screws holding the radio in place

And then un clip the cable bundle and then jobs done
