Neutral Safety Multifunction Switch

Featured Replies

Hi all well had my skoda superb m1 1.9tdi auto on the diagnostic equipment due to having the car go into limp mode when in reverse full power revers is fine just goes in to limp mode, anyway i thought it may be a wire connector problem if i was lucky well its the multifunction  switch on the zf gearbox so rang my local skoda dealer and they are £178 now the part number is 01V919821B,

and i found one on the internet from china but the exact same part number and its £35!!!! NEW

so if anyone has the same problem you can save money

Check it actually really is the part it claims when you get it.  I found the Chinese "genuine" "OEM" parking sensors to be nothing of the sort and no better than a failed sensor.  The Superb was sold over there (as the oversized Chinese Passat) - which means you should be able to find genuine parts, but also there will be a lot of pattern parts.

Try a branch of TPS.  They may have a nicer answer for you - some of the dealerships stick silly margins on parts.  And if the switch is part of the gearbox, you might find a ZF genuine stockist such as Sussex Autos (http://www.sussexautos.co.uk) might have them for less (I don't know if this is a VW specific bolt-on).
