Monte front brake fault

Featured Replies

Just wondering if this is a common fault I'd imagine it isn't though.

Upon braking at a slow speed there is the dreaded noise of metal upon metal, I only bought the car at new year 13000 miles so thought nothing of it, the other night whilst braking to enter my drive I heard the noise again so investigated under torchlight, it appears that the pads have worn at a severe angle as if the calliper piston is only pushing one edge or one edge of the pads is stuck in the calliper.

With it being a 62 plate car with low mileage I'd imagine this could well be the original set of pads and discs.

The car is off back to the car people for warranty issues with the rear heated window so I've highlighted that the front brakes require attention.

Anyone had this with front discs/pads/calipers? First time I've seen it and I've had a few cars that have been driven hard over the years on B roads and trackdays
