Skoda octavia vrs pd misfire high gears after 3000rpm

Featured Replies

Hello fellow owners, I recently bought a 2.0 pd vrs now all was great for the first week or so but now I have a problem in high gears after 3000rpm. It's like there's a power on/off switch after 3000rpm up till red line! I've also noticed the throttle respons is a bit slow and mpg I think is bad! Getting around 30mpg around town on my trip home I only got 37 and that was sat on the motor way? I've change the fuel filter already but no difference

Any help I will be grateful for thans

Anyone? Lol I was thinking possibly a air mass sensor

Get the car scanned for fault codes, its a good starting point for trying to diagnose faults yourself.

It could be the mass air flow sensor but without proving it first with an airflow log on something like VCDS or seeing what its doing on some kind of diagnostic device it would be foolish to change it for the sake of it.

Is it under powered and sluggish to accelerate? If it is it could be in limp mode

The car drives spot on if you don't floor it. It's only flat out after 3000rpm that it starts doing it. I've had it read now and it came up with

004708 - PD Unit Injector: Cylinder 2 (N241)

P1264 - 006 - Regulation Range Exceeded - Intermittent

Some one was saying there is a recall on the injectors on these
