I'm in a bit of a bind and wondered if anyone could help?

I've found myself with a five door Fabia as a courtesy car and am trying to fit a car seat for my 2 year old but the rear seat belts won't lock off to let me make it secure. In my VW, I just have to pull the belt out fully and then as it slowly retracts, it won't let you pay out any more belt, so you can tighten in the car seat. Unfortunately in the Fabia, it just keeps paying out the seat belt; what am I missing?

I would return it and tell them you need one that you can actually use, particularly as this is a relatively easy to demonstrate issue.
